Job Description

Our client, Ireland’s leading specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor is seeking to recruit a Project Director to join their team.As Project Director, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of large-scale roofing, cladding / ‘full envelope’ construction projects. You will be a key figure in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires exceptional leadership, project management, commercial awareness and construction expertise.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Planning and StrategyLead the development of project strategies, objectives, and scope in collaboration with senior management.Oversee the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring proactive problem-solving.Team Management and LeadershipBuild and lead a project team, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and other professionals.Provide direction, mentorship, and support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Set standards of behaviour and responsibility for project teams and hold teams to account.Contract Negotiation and ManagementCollaborate with the legal and procurement teams to negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.Ensure all project contracts are compliant and accurately reflect the project's requirements.Project Execution and Quality ControlOversee all phases of project execution, from pre-construction stage to construction and handover.Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with specifications and industry standards.Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.Champion the internal systems adoption and effectiveness onsite.Budget and Cost ControlManage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.Analyze project financials regularly and make adjustments as needed.Client RelationsServe as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.Address client concerns, provide updates, and ensure client satisfaction.Reporting and DocumentationPrepare regular progress reports, financial reports, and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Maintain accurate records of project activities, contracts, and correspondence.Quality Assurance and ComplianceEnsure that projects adhere to all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits.Implement quality control measures to achieve and maintain high-quality project deliverables.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Proven experience as a Construction Project Director or in a similar senior leadership role within the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets effectively.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.PMP or similar certification is a plus.Safety certifications and knowledge of OSHA regulations.If this is something you would be interested in please send your CV in confidence to Ciara@techskills.ie. #J-18808-Ljbffr
