Highly experienced Project Director required to lead large-scale residential developments in Dublin, ensuring project success from pre-construction to handover.

Job Description

As a Business Unit Lead, you will be responsible for delivering the project vision and strategic direction while meeting profitability and programme targets. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, from pre-construction to procurement, construction, and handover, ensuring best-in-class quality standards.

  • Lead and manage the project team, including site management, design, and commercial functions, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key stakeholders such as statutory authorities, neighbours, and project partners.
  • Engage with internal teams, including Planning/Development, Design, and Sales, to ensure project design aligns with market expectations.
  • Provide oversight and key inputs on value engineering and financial appraisals from pre-construction through to project delivery.
  • Prepare project execution plans, including phasing strategy, programme, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring optimal performance and value.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to align marketing and sales strategies, ensuring the highest standards of product presentation.

Requirements

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in construction leadership.
  • Proven experience at senior management and Project Director levels, ideally within large-scale residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the subcontractor and supplier base, with proven success in building strong relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and an ability to solve complex operational problems.
