Job Description

New contract assignment available for an Equipment Engineer to engineer and implement highly capable and effective manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for providing technical & engineering maintenance and calibration support involved in delivering equipment/fixture type solutions that result in optimum manufacturing practices. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the introduction and validation of new equipment. Work with Value Streams to identify opportunities for equipment improvement - automation, vision systems, robotics etc. Work with Product Development to help establish the equipment requirements for new products. Engage with external vendors to review equipment proposals, vendor selection and capital approval. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production/engineering issues. New equipment validation; Ensuring that Maintenance and Calibration requirements are built into new equipment specifications. Transfer and validation of equipment from other sites. Help debug production issues with automated equipment. Ensure relevant documentation is prepared and updated in line with all Quality and Regulatory guidelines and promotes full compliance to all GMP and E&AS requirements. Skills, Attributes & Experience: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline. 3-5 years experience in a similar role within a GMP regulated Operations Department environment. Prior experience working within Medical Devices will be an advantage Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work within a collaborative team environment Proven ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively Strong technical aptitude and problem solving abilities Cork based role with 5 days a week onsite requirements Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
