Job Description
Project Engineer sought for medical device company in Roscommon to provide manufacturing support, lead process improvement initiatives, and manage projects across product lines.
Reporting to a Business Unit Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will have an excellent understanding of engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team player mindset, with the ability to work on own initiative, guided by the disciplines of due diligence and compliance in all aspects of work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing manufacturing support over a range of manufacturing processes
- Leading process improvement initiatives to reduce cost and improve manufacturing efficiency using data analysis
- Managing projects and leading new product introduction projects, introducing new processes as appropriate
- Carrying out process and product validations
- Implementing product, process, and material changes through validation, change control, and documentation updates
Requirements:
- Level 8 or equivalent degree in Engineering or similar discipline
- 3 years' experience in a medical device manufacturing engineering role
- Knowledge of medical device validation protocols and associated documentation
- Implementation experience of validation protocols
- Knowledge of Auto CAD and Solid Works
- Lean and Six Sigma knowledge
Skills:
- Strong team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine
- Good understanding of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
