Your new companyOur client is an established Engineering Consultancy based in the west of Ireland. They have an excellent reputation and work on a mix of projects from both the private and public sector. They are currently recruiting Project Engineers to join their team in their office located in Galway City.Your new roleWithin your new role, you will join a busy Civil & Infrastructure team who are seeing a pickup in projects across the country. You will have at least 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, preferably with experience in the water sector. Previous experience with treatment process design, water network design, or network modeling – water or wastewater is highly desired. Ability to achieve tight deadlines working as part of a team. Preparation of contract specifications and drawings. Surveying and site inspections. Preparation and review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications. Contribute to the project team on a day to day basis. Direct communication and meetings with clients.What you'll need to succeedYou will ideally have 4 or more years experience working with a consultancy.A third level degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Experience in the design of buildings/water retaining structures/bridges is desired.The ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding the required designs.You’ll be responsible for the preparation of tender documents and assessments.You’ll be required to have knowledge of the Irish building regulations and the use of Eurocodes.Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Civils 3D and GIS.What you'll get in returnOur client will offer a competitive salary based on experience.
