Job Description
Experienced Equipment Project Engineer sought to lead the introduction and validation of new equipment, improving plant efficiencies and collaborating with a high-performing team.
This is a 12-month hourly rate contract position with a leading Medical Devices company.
Job Description
- Define equipment specifications (URS) as part of a team.
- Meet with vendors to review equipment proposals and select vendors.
- Participate in new equipment design reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Help debug production issues with automated equipment.
- Provide input on new technologies to improve plant efficiencies.
- Lead or represent the function in periodic business metric reviews.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement.
- Ensure relevant documentation is prepared and updated in line with Quality and Regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain and develop the team's technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Develop new equipment/processes as necessary.
- Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment.
Requirements
- Level 8 degree in Engineering or similar.
- 3+ years experience in equipment qualification, PLC, HMI, Vision systems, and robotics.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a highly regulated GMP environment.
