Job Description

Experienced Equipment Project Engineer sought to lead the introduction and validation of new equipment, improving plant efficiencies and collaborating with a high-performing team.

This is a 12-month hourly rate contract position with a leading Medical Devices company.

Job Description

  • Define equipment specifications (URS) as part of a team.
  • Meet with vendors to review equipment proposals and select vendors.
  • Participate in new equipment design reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Help debug production issues with automated equipment.
  • Provide input on new technologies to improve plant efficiencies.
  • Lead or represent the function in periodic business metric reviews.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure relevant documentation is prepared and updated in line with Quality and Regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain and develop the team's technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Develop new equipment/processes as necessary.
  • Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment.

Requirements

  • Level 8 degree in Engineering or similar.
  • 3+ years experience in equipment qualification, PLC, HMI, Vision systems, and robotics.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a highly regulated GMP environment.
