Experienced Equipment Project Engineer sought to lead the introduction and validation of new equipment, improving plant efficiencies and collaborating with a high-performing team.
Job Description
This is an hourly rate contract position with a minimum term of 12 months. You will work for a leader in the industry, with a diverse portfolio of Medical Devices.
- Define the specification of new equipment (URS) as part of a team
- Meet with vendors to review equipment proposals, vendor selection, and capital approval
- Participate in new equipment design reviews and FAT's
- Help debug production issues with automated equipment
- Provide input and help select new technologies to improve plant efficiencies
- Lead or represent the function in periodic business metric reviews
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement
- Ensure relevant documentation is prepared and updated in line with all Quality and Regulatory guidelines
- Maintain and develop the team's technical and troubleshooting skills
- Develop new equipment/processes as necessary
- Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment
Required:
- Level 8 degree in Engineering or similar
- 3+ years experience
- Previous experience qualifying equipment; PLC/HMI/Vision systems/robotics
- Minimum of 2 years working in highly regulated GMP environment
