Job Description

Project Engineer role involves managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects, coordinating elements on various production sites, and implementing company project management procedures.

As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the design, implementation, and handover of engineering projects, including building services, production facility upgrades, and project management of small and large-scale projects.
  • Coordinating elements on multiple projects on various production sites for the duration of projects.
  • Implementing and adhering to company project management procedures and SOPs to deliver projects.
  • Designing and tendering of engineering projects, including generating user requirement specifications, tender specifications, and tender drawings.
  • Verifying, commissioning, and handing over of engineering systems to end users.
  • Developing project budgets and managing for the life cycle of the project.
  • Working as part of a wider project team and assisting in the delivery of key projects.
  • Facilitating and participating in the department's continuous improvement program.
  • Designing engineering systems and upgrades and implementing same.
  • Providing technical support to production sites.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A 3rd Level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in a Project Engineering role within Engineering Project Management functions with experience working on medium and large-scale capital projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project; Excellent Auto CAD skills; Certified qualification in Project Management preferable.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects from conception to completion; Proven budget management experience; Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Proven experience of strong organizational skills; Flexibility and be willing to travel to production sites throughout Ireland, the UK as required.
