Bon Secours Hospital Cork Role type - Full Time/Permanent Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer/Manager (Client-side) to join the Bon Secours Health System. Taking responsibility for the Cork based site, the successful candidatewill oversee the ongoing delivery of Capital Projects. They will be a key member of the BSHS Capital Project Team, responsible for installation of new Mechanical Plant, Electrical Infrastructure, Medical Equipment, refurbishment of existing facilities and implementation of new strategic projects. Reporting into the Group Director of Capital Projects, the key responsibilities will include: Taking ownership of the planning, safe execution, and delivery of capital projects onsite. Working with all stakeholders on site to ensure effective delivery with as little interruption to operations as possible. Identifying and resourcing external contractors capable of delivering complex capital projects. Overseeing all aspects of ongoing projects, including inspections of works and delivery within budget. Participating in annual project forecasting meetings and participate in the ongoing development of the capital improvement plan for the site. The role will require someone with a practical mindset, who understands the deliverables associated with each phase of a Project. The ideal candidate will have: Third level engineering degree, preferably with Civil / Electrical accreditations. Proven experience in successfully delivering Capital Projects. Strong technical knowledge and capability in the delivery of Cleanroom/HVAC/E&I, equipment, and utilities systems. A clear understanding of the typical project life cycle from concept through to handover and have proven experience in this area. Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in projects. Strategic and tactical thinking abilities. Convincing communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others Detail focused - each capital spend in the facility needs to work seamlessly post-delivery, meaning a detail focused approach is crucial during the planning and execution phase.
