Vacancy ID : 034304 Closing Date : 17-Oct-2024 12:00 The aim of the Learner Engagement Analytics by Design (LEAD) project is to enhance the quality of the overall learner experience by leveraging data analytics to better understand and improve student engagement, progression and success. As HEIs face the challenges of increasingly diverse student populations, it has become more important to monitor how they are engaging with every aspect of their academic lives, from their academic programme to their extra-curricular activities. This project will focus on developing and implementing advanced analytics tools to track and analyse various dimensions of learner engagement. By integrating data from multiple sources, including the Learning Management Systems (LMS), and student information systems, the project aims to provide faculty, administrators, and support staff with actionable insights. These insights should enable the university to identify at-risk students early, tailor interventions to support these students, and ultimately improve academic outcomes, retention rates and the overall learner experience. Essential Criteria: A doctorate in data science/IT/Computing-related discipline. At least 2 years' post qualification experience in a relevant environment and at an appropriate level.
