Job Description

Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for an Applications / Integration Project Manager to join their Healthcare Transformation Program. The duration of this post is 11 months initially with likely extensions thereafter. The role will be based fully onsite in Dublin 9. Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €43.29 per hour based on an annualised salary of €79,056. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays. Role Overview As Applications / Integration Project Manager, you will be responsible in overseeing the seamless transition of 41 existing healthcare applications to our clients newly upgraded environment. Your responsibilities will encompass meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of this complex migration process. This transition will entail managing technical, process, and integration changes to ensure a smooth and efficient adoption of the new system. Collaborating closely with local and vendor implementation teams, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for supporting the technical aspects of the transition, including system integration, data migration, and technical configuration. Key Responsibilities: Develop plans, in conjunction with Data Quality Lead, for data quality and data clean-up during migration and subsequent phases. Ensure compliance with GDPR & DPIA's in relation to data sharing and migration. Ensure, in conjunction with the ICT Stream Project Manager, all infrastructures, user connectivity; printing configuration etc. is in place to support the project. Monitoring of national policy and standards development or changes and updating the system configuration to reflect these changes in conjunction with the vendor. To liaise with the application vendors and in-house teams in relation to system development and performance for a tightly integrated set of solutions. Work closely with the other project teams support the flow of data supporting the business processes. Ensure the appropriate post go live support structures and mechanisms are in place to support system users in the future. Qualifications and Skills: Excellent project management skills are required to plan and monitor the progress of this project through the design, testing and implementation phases. You must demonstrate Significant experience of leading and managing technical projects in a healthcare related environment or other complex service delivery organisation. Practical experience in software development, system integration, data migration, or application implementation projects. Project management experience specifically in the management and deployment of software applications. AND A relevant 3rd level degree/post-graduate qualification e.g. computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related Or 7+ years' experience in a relevant and similar role AND Mandatory Experience A strong delivery record in business enabled Integration projects, of a comparable size & complexity. Experience of leading and managing technical staff. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of software development methodologies, application architectures, integration technologies (e.g., HL7, APIs) and data exchange protocols. Experience in managing complex integration projects involving multiple systems and platforms is highly valuable. Familiarity with middleware, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data mapping. Desirable Experience Knowledge and understanding of patient based information systems or electronic health care records utilised within acute hospital setting. Knowledge and understanding of vendor management. Qualification/Training in Project management (PRINCE 2 / Project Management Professional Certificate or equivalent.)
