Job Description

Project Manager needed for 7-month fixed-term contract to support management of Skillnet MMC Accelerate project, a nationally funded digital platform promoting Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

Summary: Highly organized and proactive Project Manager required to lead stakeholder engagement, event planning, marketing, and content management for a high-profile digital platform launch.

The Construction IT Alliance (Cit A) is seeking a highly motivated individual to manage multiple stakeholders, plan and execute key events, and oversee the development of the digital platform. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager of Cit A and play a key role in the successful delivery of this initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead communication with stakeholders, including industry professionals, government agencies, and educational institutions, to drive collaboration and engagement for the Skillnet MMC Accelerate project.
  • Coordinate and manage regional events and a national platform launch, including venue logistics, speaker management, content development, and attendee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing specialist to help them promote the Skillnet MMC Accelerate project through digital channels.
  • Work alongside the content researcher to help them develop and curate relevant content for the platform, ensuring timely updates and consistency.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, clients, and at industry events, ensuring key messages about the Skillnet MMC Accelerate initiative and MMC are communicated effectively.
  • Present monthly progress reports to the client, highlighting key milestones, KPIs, and any potential risks or issues, ensuring the project remains on track.
  • Manage the project budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while delivering high-quality results.
  • Liaise with the technology partner to oversee the platform's development, ensuring it meets the agreed requirements and timeline.
  • Work closely with the wider project team, including senior project manager, the content researcher, marketing specialist, finance, and administrative support, ensuring smooth communication and progress.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience using project management tools and software to oversee tasks and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Negotiation & Problem Solving: Adept at resolving conflicts, negotiating with stakeholders, and managing complex projects.

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification required.
  • Minimum of 4+ years' experience in project management, preferably within the digital or technology sectors.
  • Experience in managing digital projects, particularly those involving platform development or content management.
  • Event Planning Experience: Experience in organizing and managing events with multiple stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms, Teams, Power Point) and project management software.
  • Experience using CMS platforms like Word Press or Squarespace.
  • Familiarity with online webinar platforms (MS Teams, Zoom).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in project management or PMP/Prince2 certification.
  • Strong knowledge of MMC or construction industry trends.
