Project Manager 7-Month Fixed Term Contract The Construction IT Alliance (CitA) is looking to recruit a highly organized and proactive Project Manager on a 7-month fixed term contract to support the management of the Skillnet MMC Accelerate project, a nationally funded digital platform promoting Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager of CitA and play a key role in the successful delivery of this high-profile initiative. Role Overview: This position requires a highly motivated individual capable of managing multiple stakeholders, planning and executing key events, and overseeing the development of the digital platform. The successful candidate will work closely with a cross-functional team and external partners, ensuring project milestones are met within the defined budget and timeline. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement: Lead communication with stakeholders, including industry professionals, government agencies, and educational institutions, to drive collaboration and engagement for the Skillnet MMC Accelerate project. Event Planning & Management: Coordinate and manage regional events and a national platform launch, including venue logistics, speaker management, content development, and attendee engagement. Marketing & PR Support: Collaborate with the marketing specialist to help them promote the Skillnet MMC Accelerate project through digital channels. Content Management: Work alongside the content researcher to help them develop and curate relevant content for the platform, ensuring timely updates and consistency. Presentation Delivery: Develop and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, clients, and at industry events, ensuring key messages about the Skillnet MMC Accelerate initiative and MMC are communicated effectively. Project Reporting: Present monthly progress reports to the client, highlighting key milestones, KPIs, and any potential risks or issues, ensuring the project remains on track. Budget Management: Manage the project budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while delivering high-quality results. Collaboration with Partners: Liaise with the technology partner to oversee the platform's development, ensuring it meets the agreed requirements and timeline. Team Coordination: Work closely with the wider project team, including senior project manager, the content researcher, marketing specialist, finance, and administrative support, ensuring smooth communication and progress. Key Skills: Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to oversee the project, and ensure all objectives are met efficiently. Time Management: Skilled in planning, prioritizing, and managing time effectively across multiple tasks. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders in both public and private settings. Presentation Skills: Ability to create and deliver high-quality, engaging presentations tailored to different audiences, ensuring the projects goals and MMC topics are communicated clearly. Technical Proficiency: Experience using project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Trello, or similar) to oversee tasks and communicate with stakeholders. Negotiation & Problem Solving: Adept at resolving conflicts, negotiating with stakeholders, and managing complex projects. Experience: Third-level qualification required. Minimum of 4+ years' experience in project management, preferably within the digital, or technology sectors. Experience in managing digital projects, particularly those involving platform development or content management. Event Planning Experience: Experience in organizing and managing events with multiple stakeholders. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms, Teams, PowerPoint) and project management software. Experience using CMS platforms like WordPress or Squarespace. Familiarity with online webinar platforms (MS Teams, Zoom). Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in project management or PMP/Prince2 certification is a plus.
