Clare Tourism Development DAC is a subsidiary company of Clare County Council which oversees the management, development, and promotion of a portfolio of signature visitor attractions and sites throughout County Clare. Clare Tourism is developing these visitor attraction sites and is now seeking to hire an experienced professional with substantial skills in ICT Project Management. The Position The position of Project Manager Digital Transformation is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in playing a significant role within Clare Tourism and we are inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for this competition. It is proposed to form a panel of qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of Project Manager Digital Transformation on a full-time permanent contract. As Project Manager Digital Transformation, the successful candidate will have project management responsibility for enabling the tourismdigitalprogrammeatallofClareCountyCouncilstourismsites. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The main duties and priorities of the include Project Manager Digital Transformation are: The successful candidate will manage the upgrading and centralization of ICT infrastructure from several legacy sites to a hybrid cloud model, including hardware, networks, and software, recommending, and developing upgrade strategies, working with both internal and third-party teams. Practical, hands-on experience in the taking in charge, upgrading, consolidating and migrating of business systems and services from a distributed multi-site configuration to centralized services. Practical technical understanding of networking, server and storage infrastructure solutions, backup, security, DR and operations management of applications at various organization levels both internally and externally. Project management experience including complex data migration projects. Budget management to include annual revenue and capital projects, including providing strategic advice on the development of digital infrastructure. Experience in leading teams in a multi-disciplinary business and cross functional context e.g., business and ICT. Experience of vendor and contract management. The ability to discuss technical and business concepts appropriately with internal technical staff, non- technical stakeholders and senior management. Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven history in management and leadership skills with at least five years ICT management experience in a commercial environment. Flexibility and a strong problem-solving approach to issues with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent project management, decision making, communication and influencing skills. Understands the importance of excellent communication with colleagues and with both internal and external stakeholders. Adhere to and follow all Health and Safety regulations as outlined in the Health & Safety Statement. Ensure compliance with all procedures. Requirements/Essential Skills and Attributes Proven track record in ICT with at least 5 years management experience Candidate must hold a third level qualification of at least degree standard, level eight Degree desirable and have satisfactory experience in administrative procedures, including adequate practical experience in work of an executive nature, office organisation and control of staff Experience in PC based systems and technologies Experience in reporting systems and technologies Analytical and commercial in approach Flexibility and a strong problem-solving approach to issues Experience of managing people in a small to medium size enterprise Ability to demonstrate a high level of teamwork & motivation skills Proven organisational skills & experience in multi-tasking A commitment to excellence, continual innovation & world class service delivery Ability to enforce Clare Tourism Development DAC standards, policies, and procedures with Employees Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of visitor and Company information 1. Education, Training, Experience, Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms have a. Third level qualification in I.T. level Eight Degree Desirable. b. Have a minimum of 5 years satisfactory experience in ICT Management with demonstrable experience.
