Job Description

Construction Project Manager role in Cork, Ireland, overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

As a Construction Project Manager with Morgan McKinley, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

  • Monthly reporting to the board of directors and clients
  • Management of projects in defects period, defects resolution, and commercial resolution
  • Managing change order creation for additional works
  • Ensuring dedicated client focus and effective client interaction
  • Organising and chairing pre-contract and post-contract project team meetings
  • Liaising with the Design Team to ensure requirements and specifications are met on time and within budget
  • Scoping and managing concept design/budget for potential funding applications
  • Procurement of design Teams on eTenders, ad hoc
  • Building Stock Surveys, Energy upgrade surveys, carbon emissions reporting, sustainability planning and reporting
  • Site visits
  • Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to throughout the project

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, preferably within a pharma or industrial environment
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering them on time and within budget
  • 7+ years Project Management Experience (public and private sector contracts)
  • Strong construction knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • eTenders experience a plus (training can be provided)
