Project Manager Location: Cork Reporting To: Contracts Manager About the Role: Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-profile construction projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on prestigious projects with a blue-chip client base, in an environment that promotes innovation, safety, and excellence. Role Purpose: As a Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing projects from the planning stage through to successful completion. You will ensure your project teams meet key deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of the project programme in collaboration with the Contracts Manager, ensuring all project milestones are met. Act as the technical lead, providing guidance and mentoring to your project team. Manage staffing requirements and communicate effectively with all team members to ensure smooth project operations. Uphold and promote a strong safety culture on site by implementing company safety systems. Ensure quality control throughout the project, guaranteeing that build standards meet or exceed client expectations. Oversee cost management, ensuring budgets and preliminaries are tightly controlled and aligned with commercial objectives. Collaborate closely with the commercial team to achieve financial targets and deliver successful project outcomes. Build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, keeping them informed of any potential claims or delays in a timely manner. Requirements: A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including new builds and fit-outs. Experience in Design & Build projects, with a background in pharmaceutical or critical environments being an advantage. Proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Strong technical expertise with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Knowledge of commercial project realities and cost-effective solutions. Proficient in MS Office, MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools).
