Position: Project Manager (Automation)

Location: Dublin 22

Salary: DOE

The Role:


Accomplished, highly motivated and flexible Project Manager with extensive experience of delivering complex, high value engineering/technical projects. To manage and lead complex high-value bespoke automation projects across multiple sites. The project manager is responsible for delivering successful projects in terms of scope, schedule, and budget. This is a dynamic role, responsible for actively managing a wide variety of projects simultaneously from design through manufacture and onto installation.

Main Responsibilities:


  1. Manage scope, budget, risks and opportunities and quality aspects of projects.
  2. Develop and maintain up to date project planning.
  3. Project resource forecast for the entire project lifecycle.
  4. Lead project teams to ensure that each department understands, commits to, and achieves their tasks.
  5. Manage and monitor project budgets and implement necessary measures to ensure the project is delivered successfully.
  6. Submit resource requests and project milestones to PCE Automation.
  7. Conduct and chair regular focused meetings with customers, suppliers, and project teams with a pre-released agenda.
  8. Customer meetings both remote and on-site.
  9. Provide customer updates at agreed intervals.
  10. Present project status reports to internal stakeholders at defined intervals.
  11. Report weekly resource requirements to the department.
  12. You will report to the PCE Group Head of Project Management.
  13. Be the first point of escalation for contractual/customer issues.
  14. Produce detailed meeting minutes with SMART actions and circulate them.
  15. Follow existing project processes and support the implementation of continuous improvement.

Requirements:


  1. Experience in a similar Project Manager role.
  2. Exemplary leadership qualities and exceptional communicator (oral and written).
  3. Customer-facing commercial experience.
  4. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  5. Ability to deliver effective and engaging presentations.
  6. Advanced time management, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodologies.
  8. Good understanding of product costing.
  9. Experience of both sides of the Customer/Supplier portal, with full understanding of contracts, procurement and reviews.
  10. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations.
  11. Relevant vocational training (PRINCE2 or similar).
  12. Advanced user of Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  13. Ability to understand technical drawings and basic user of AutoCAD 2D.
  14. Engineering/technical degree.
