Title: Project Manager - Embodied Carbon in Buildings Location: Dublin/Cork/Sligo Contract: 18 months Salary: €50,001 Working Arrangements: Hybrid Role Overview: You will play a crucial role in achieving national home energy upgrade targets, contributing to climate action plans and supporting the development of technical standards for energy performance in buildings. Key areas include Building Energy Rating (BER), embodied carbon methodologies, and global warming potential ratings for new constructions. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of embodied carbon calculation methodologies for building materials. Assist in creating a Global Warming Potential (GWP) rating for integration into the BER system. Collaborate with the Programme Manager and team to meet climate action targets, ensuring high-quality project delivery. Essential Qualifications: Minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in relevant fields (Environmental Science, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, etc.). 3+ years of experience in building design or life cycle assessment. Strong data analysis and project management skills. Desirable Skills: Familiarity with BER methodology, LEED, BREEAM, LCA tools (OpenLCA, SimaPro), and BIM.
