Project Manager, Business Services - ICT and Business Services Role Summary The Project Manager, reporting to the Digital Transformation Delivery Manager, is responsible for overseeing ICT-enabled projects from approval to implementation, supporting the business analysis team in gathering requirements, and managing the Project Management Office (PMO). The role involves coordinating the overall portfolio of projects, acting as the main point of contact for project requests, and ensuring effective communication with diverse stakeholders. Successful project management requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple departments with competing priorities within the organisation's regulatory framework. Key Responsibilities Operational Objectives Lead and manage project risks, quality, and progress, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan and governance standards. Ensure projects remain within scope, delivered on time, on budget, and in line with defined quality standards. Monitor project performance and proactively recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource allocations to maintain project health. Support or manage the PMO's monthly project portfolio reporting process and produce ad-hoc reports as required to aid decision-making. Support the change control process by collaborating with Project Sponsors, Project Managers, and project teams to ensure alignment and documentation. Assist with resource planning and allocation for projects, working closely with the Delivery Manager and other stakeholders to optimise resources. Communication/Customer Service Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and cross-functional departments to foster collaboration and alignment across the organisation. Ensure consistent communication of our client's project management methodologies and standards to all relevant stakeholders. Participate in ICT and Business Services department meetings, contributing to project-related discussions and decisions. Assist in the development of our client's Management Framework and drive awareness across the organisation. Quality and Knowledge Management Contribute to the effective implementation and management of our client's Quality Management system within the ICT and Business Services department. Ensure adherence to our client's Quality System policies and procedures in project management. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and work instructions that support the PMO framework and project delivery. Implement mechanisms to capture, store, and share knowledge and key insights gained through project activities within the Business Services section. Ensure high-quality project delivery across the portfolio, adhering to established quality controls and standards. Performance Management Participate in the performance development programme (PDP) within the section. Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to foster a high-performance culture and improve project delivery outcomes. Communicate goals, objectives, and performance targets clearly within the department and across project teams. Regularly report on progress against defined KPIs, objectives, and deliverables, highlighting any issues or risks to the Business Services Manager. Identify and escalate project performance risks early to ensure timely intervention and resolution. General Perform any other duties as our client may reasonably require. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this post, candidates must have: A minimum of 3 year's relevant experience managing technical application projects, from pre-approval to project closure. Achieved or be working towards a project management qualification (e.g., PMP or Prince2). A strong business acumen and good understanding of technical projects. Direct experience working with stakeholders/customers. Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Project. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills. Proven ability to work to strict deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. Strong negotiation skills. Excellent organisational skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will have: Experience working in a PMO function. Experience managing subcontractors and subcontract agreements. Business analysis experience and/or related training (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
