Job Description

A leading Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee the civils aspect of an upcoming residential project. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience managing similar projects, with a strong background in civil engineering and construction. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate various project elements, ensuring that all civil works are executed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Manages all civil engineering activities on the residential project, from groundwork and infrastructure to utilities and roadways. Ensures that all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget. Team Coordination: Works closely with engineers, contractors, and site teams, providing clear direction and oversight. Ensures that all team members are working effectively and efficiently towards project goals. Quality Assurance: Implements and enforces quality control measures to ensure that all civil works meet regulatory requirements and company standards. Conducts regular site inspections and addresses any issues promptly. Stakeholder Communication: Serves as the key point of contact for civil engineering matters, liaising with clients, architects, and other stakeholders. Provides regular updates on project progress and addresses any concerns. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensures that all civil works are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations. Promotes a safety-first culture on site and conducts regular safety audits. Risk Management: Identifies potential risks related to civil works and develops strategies to mitigate them. Ensures that any changes to the project scope or schedule are effectively managed. Budget & Resource Management: Monitors expenditures related to civil works, ensuring that the project remains within budget. Manages resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and labor. Documentation & Reporting: Maintains comprehensive records of all civil works, including plans, permits, and progress reports. Prepares detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, specifically overseeing the civils aspect of residential construction projects. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple facets of civil construction, including infrastructure, drainage, and utilities. Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
