Project Quantity Surveyor – Munster Regional Office

Location: Cork

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Head of Commercial & Estimating; the successful candidate will gain full training and excellent exposure across the entire spectrum of Electric Skylines Projects.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated with good communication skills, able to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate must also be able to work to deadlines and possess a very high level of I.T. and reporting skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile estimations, bills of quantities, and quotations for Projects
  • Obtain quotations from Suppliers & Sub-contractors
  • Manage & Track quotations issued to Clients via our CRM System (full training provided)
  • Subcontract management including payment claim assessment
  • Compile Interim Progress Claim Valuations and Final Accounts to Clients
  • Compile & substantiate Variations and Extension of Time Claims to Clients
  • Cost reporting
  • Assist with the compilation of Tender submissions for large Projects
  • Assist with large Contract Management and Administration
  • Interact with the company team to maximize project & financial management, procurement, production, and strategies

The Person:

  • Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize several projects at the same time
  • Commercially & Contractually aware
  • Ability to achieve demanding targets and deadlines
  • Strong time management and reporting skills
  • Good IT skills with high competency in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Methodical with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good at working with people at all levels and within a team environment
  • Eager to learn and develop professionally
  • 2+ Years previous construction industry experience
  • Experience within the Civil Engineering and/or Utilities sector will be highly regarded
