Job Description
Support families in Supported Temporary Accommodation to secure long-term housing, providing inductions, property assistance, and advocacy services. Assist with HAP, tenancy agreements, and accessing local services. Develop relationships with relevant agencies and maintain professional boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admit families to the service and provide inductions
- Assist families in finding suitable properties and negotiating with landlords
- Support families in understanding tenancy agreements and housing assistance
- Carry out assessments and develop support plans with families
- Facilitate access to local services and advocate on behalf of families
- Develop relationships with local services and agencies
Person Specification:
- Relevant Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, or Housing & Welfare
- Knowledge of Pathways to Home, HAP, HNAs, and SLI
- Minimum one year experience working in homelessness and knowledge of homelessness causes, services, addiction, and mental health
- Ability to work in a non-judgmental and respectful manner
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Highly motivated, reliable, and flexible
Working Conditions:
- Permanent contract, 40 hours per week (flexible)
- Hourly rate: €16.90
- Garda Vetting conducted on an ongoing basis
