Job Description

Support families in Supported Temporary Accommodation to secure long-term housing, providing inductions, property assistance, and advocacy services. Assist with HAP, tenancy agreements, and accessing local services. Develop relationships with relevant agencies and maintain professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admit families to the service and provide inductions
  • Assist families in finding suitable properties and negotiating with landlords
  • Support families in understanding tenancy agreements and housing assistance
  • Carry out assessments and develop support plans with families
  • Facilitate access to local services and advocate on behalf of families
  • Develop relationships with local services and agencies

Person Specification:

  • Relevant Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, or Housing & Welfare
  • Knowledge of Pathways to Home, HAP, HNAs, and SLI
  • Minimum one year experience working in homelessness and knowledge of homelessness causes, services, addiction, and mental health
  • Ability to work in a non-judgmental and respectful manner
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Highly motivated, reliable, and flexible

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent contract, 40 hours per week (flexible)
  • Hourly rate: €16.90
  • Garda Vetting conducted on an ongoing basis
