Job Description
As a Project Worker, you will be part of a team supporting families in Supported Temporary Accommodation (STA) to work towards securing long-term accommodation.
- Admit families to the service, providing a full induction and welcome.
- Support families to establish tenancies by identifying suitable properties and accompanying them to viewings.
- Assist families to understand and complete their Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) and tenancy agreement.
- Carry out assessments and develop a support plan with families.
- Facilitate families to access local services and advocate on their behalf.
- Develop and build relationships with local services and agencies.
- Complete accurate written records and reports.
- Adhere to professional boundaries and work in a professional manner.

Person Specification
- Relevant Level 7 Qualification in Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, or Housing & Welfare.
- Knowledge of Pathways to Home, HAP, HNAs, and SLI.
- Minimum one year working in the area of homelessness and knowledge of homelessness and its causes.
- Experience in managing complex and challenging situations in a client-based service.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection.
- Ability to treat the client group in a non-judgmental and respectful way.
- Ability to work within clear professional boundaries.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Highly motivated, reliable, and flexible.
