Job Description

Project Electrician: We seek a Project Electrician to join our team at our Client premises in Westmeath. We are looking for a trade-qualifiedElectrician with 2+ post-completed apprenticeship experience. The successful candidate will be part of a team working on Projects including the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Strong hands-on wiring and electrical experience is essential. The job holder will report to the electrical line manager for all project and department goals and objectives. They will be encouraged to bring forth new ideas that will improve operational efficiencies, and safety levels and given adequate time and resources to execute those ideas. As a Project Electrician, you will be responsible for: Preventive maintenance Programs Engage with clients & Subcontractors where necessary to ensure successful delivery of projects. Drafting Electrical Drawings Scope project resources before execution Inspection of equipment to ensure H&S requirements are fulfilled. Commissioning electrical projects Role-Specific Skills/Knowledge: Problem Analysis - Ability in identifying problems, seeking pertinent data, recognising important information, and identifying possible causes of problems Compliance - Adherence to company policy and procedures. Seeks approval from the correct authority for changes. Stress Tolerance - Ability to perform adequately under pressure and opposition. Ability to make controlled responses in stressful situations. Interpersonal Skills -Awareness of other people and environment and own impact on these. Actions indicate a consideration for the feelings and needs of others Detail Handling - Tolerance for and ability to handle the details and paperwork associated with the job. Planning and Organising - Ability to establish an appropriate course of action for self and or others to achieve a goal. Work Standards Sets high, professional work standards consistently. Working Conditions: Working conditions infrequently involve some physical exertion, and exposure to the elements or hazards inherent in the job. Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and network across industries. Requirements: Trade Qualified Electrician with>2 years of electrical maintenance or installation experience in a fixed-plant environment (preferably heavy engineering). Knowledge of industrial instrumentation installation and maintenance. Knowledge in containment and electrical installations. Experience in motor control circuits of benefit. Experience in HV motors & HV switchgear Calibration of pressure, temperature, level & analytical equipment Experience in weighing instrumentation & calibration Some more important info!
