Experienced Property Claims Advisor or Loss Adjuster sought to provide technical expertise and support to a dynamic team, ensuring high-quality customer service in a challenging and rewarding role.
About the Role

As a Property In-house Desktop Loss Adjuster, you will act as a point of technical referral for both Household and Commercial Property claims, using your expertise and experience to provide guidance and support to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Pro-actively manage and handle a desktop portfolio of personal and commercial property claims, including ongoing customer engagement, cost delivery, and meeting individual customer needs.
- Work with our Motor & Liability Claims Teams in managing Third Party Losses.
- Drive Technical excellence in claims validation through effectively identifying and scoping work in line with policy cover and market rates.
- Work with our Agile team to further develop systems.
- Provide training and upskilling of our existing property claims handlers from validation to settlement of property claims.
- Have a working knowledge of the Irish Insurance claims market.
- Demonstrate capability in handling a variety of complex claims, identify market trends, and provide strategic innovative solutions to improve customer offering.
- Possess excellent knowledge of Insurance Principles and all regulations set out by the Central Bank of Ireland, with the ability to apply a practical approach to policy interpretation.
- Carry out the role in a professional manner, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines while displaying strong interpersonal skills.
- Timely reporting to the Property Claims Executive.
Requirements
- CIP qualified as a minimum or have an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in Loss Adjusting or Property Claims Handling.
- Qualification in the "building environment", Construction, Building / Quantity Surveying / Engineering etc. is an advantage.
- A full understanding of all regulatory frameworks, including the CPC/CICA, and GDPR is essential.
- Possess robust negotiation skills and a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent report writing capabilities and high flexibility and self-motivation.
- High level of initiative and ability to make real-time decisions based on changing information.
