Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Irelands leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs. We are seeking applications to join ourtalented multidisciplinary team within our growing Approved Centre. This Approved Centre's primary focus is on specialist inpatient care through a model of recovery and rehabilitation. The centre offers a wide range of treatments and supports, such as psychological interventions, self care, and activities of daily living skills (ADL's), medication management, peer support, occupational functioning, and a physical health programme. The role of a psychiatric nurse is to provide care to people who avail of our service. We will support you in developing and upskilling you in providing high quality care, maintaining professional working relationships with our team members and people who avail of our service. We support people in reaching their full potential, to have a meaningful life through the supports of the services we provide to them. This will include the following on a day-to-day basis: We are seeking Psychiatric Nurses to join our dynamic team in our specialist inpatient Mental Health Service at Nua Healthcare. Safe Management and Administration of Medications Utilising nursing skills to support the delivery of effective front-line support to all Service Users Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments, Medication Plans and all supporting docs outlining supports for individuals including: personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans etc. Ensure that all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all Service Users Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individuals community. Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team. Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family and other supports as outlined within individual Personal Plans. Support Patients with health appointments and follow through on recommendations. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to Patients. Promote & nurture person centred planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, maintaining confidentiality at all times Support the development and implementation of relevant docs outlining supports for Patients including: personal plans, standard operating procedures etc. Support and promote maximum opportunities for community involvement for people who use the service. Assist DON in regard to compiling and presenting reports as required. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to staff and patients. Qualification Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Knowledge Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management. An understanding of the needs of individuals. Experience: Experience in Nursing in a similar psychiatric field. Experience of relating to people in a supportive role. Skills: Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative. Willingness to learn. Reliability and flexible approach to work. Good organisation and IT skills. Self-motivated / Self starter.
