Responsibilities of this Psychiatric Nurse job: Adhere to all HSE guidelines, policies and procedures. Develop care plans and long-lasting therapeutic strategies based on patient's personal needs and strengths. Administer medications and monitor responses, educating patients and their families on medication management. Note and communicate treatment outcomes and any incidents or difficulties to appropriate authorities. Requirements of this Psychiatric Nurse job: NMBI Registration as well as relevant certifications, such as Hand Hygiene, Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling, TMVA, Children First, etc. Hold a degree in psychiatric or general nursing with a postgraduate qualification in psychiatric nursing. Previous experience in mental health nursing is preferable. Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
