Responsibilities of this Psychiatric Nurse job: Adhere to all HSE guidelines, policies, procedures and knowledge of HIQA standards. Form therapeutic bonds with patients and their families, providing support, assistance and developing long lasting solutions and care plans catered to their needs and personal strengths. Administer medications and monitor responses, educating patients and their families regarding medication management. Note and communicate treatment outcomes and any incidents or difficulties to appropriate authorities and team members. Requirements of this Psychiatric Nurse job: Must be registered with the NMBI and hold all relevant certifications, such as Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling, MAPA, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, etc. Previous experience in mental health nursing is desirable Hold a degree in psychiatric or general nursing with a postgraduate qualification in psychiatric nursing.
