Responsibilities of this Psychiatric Nurse job: Adhere to all HSE guidelines, policies and procedures. Develop care plans and long-term therapeutic strategies in line with patient's personal needs and strengths. Administer medications and monitor responses, educating patients and their families on medication management. Develop a close therapeutic bond with patients and their families, always ensuring clear communication and confidentiality. Requirements of this Psychiatric Nurse job: NMBI Registration as well as HSE certifications, such as Hand Hygiene, Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling, TMVA, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, etc. Hold a degree in psychiatric or general nursing with a postgraduate qualification in psychiatric nursing. Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations. Previous experience in mental health nursing is desirable.
