Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days pro rata per annum.Overview of the Post:To provide a range of psychological services to children 0 – 18 years and their families who attend the Network Disability Team, within an interdisciplinary framework and family-centered practice and to support other staff and students as assigned.Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:Please see Job Description for full list of Duties & Responsibilities.The successful candidate will have:Eligible applicants must:Have a university degree or diploma (QQI level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject.Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology.An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for.Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings, for the area/areas for which they wish to apply - Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology, Adult Psychology - either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience.Applicants with an educational psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings for the area/areas for which they wish to apply - Child Disability, Child Psychology - either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist.Must be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).Applicants who qualified outside the Republic of Ireland must already have their qualifications validated by the Department of Health and Children and the Psychological Society of Ireland.Meet the requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) to work as an Educational Psychologist.Experience of working with children of 0 – 18 yrs with at least one of the following disabilities: physical disability, autism, learning disability etc., and their families.Full driver's licence with access to own transport.Experience of inter and trans-disciplinary team working.Experience of working in a disability service.Experience of working with children and adolescents with a range of disabilities post qualification.Knowledge and skills in the management of behaviours of concern.Knowledge and skills in conducting diagnostic assessments in children and young people including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities.In the event of a high volume of applicants, Desirable Criteria may be applied in the shortlisting process.If you believe you would fit the role, then please submit your application today.As a staff member of Enable Ireland, you will have access to a wide range of benefits, including:Excellent internal and external training opportunities.Generous annual leave entitlements.Long service reward scheme.Pay adjusted Maternity Leave.Pay adjusted Adoptive Leave.Pay adjusted Paternity Leave.For a full list of our benefits, please click here.To apply, please download the Job Description and Person Specification for your information and complete the online application form.
