Unique Opportunity for Clinical/Counselling Psychologist Part-time/Full-time permanent post The Galtee Clinic Ltd, based near Cahir, South Tipperary, was set up in 2011 to explore alternative approaches to working with children in the care system. In the intervening years the programme has attracted considerable international attention with clinicians and academics visiting from a wide range of services/institutions. Domestically the Galtee Clinic is recognised as one of the few enhanced providers of care due to its well-established therapeutic programme. We are currently looking for a psychologist to help round out the service. This really is a unique opportunity for someone who is creative and ambitious. The work ranges from direct work with the children, working systemically in the milieu, working with a diverse and interesting team as well as excellent personal career progression. The Galtee Clinic is keen to promote and encourage others to copy the model we have developed and the Psychologist would be key to that endeavour. To that end the Clinic will support the right candidate in a range of professional pursuits including further training, academic and popular writing, speaking and attending international conferences/events. Support and supervision will be provided by our Clinical Director, Toby Haslam-Hopwood, PsyD.
