We are currently recruiting for a Psychologist (Basic Grade) for our Sligo, Leitrim & West Cavan service area. The contract available is: Permanent, Part-Time, 21 horus contract. Starting salary: €55,709 - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services for people living with a brain injury in Ireland. He/she will assume responsibility for psychological assessment and the design and provision of rehabilitation and behavioural support programmes for both residential and community based service users. He/she will also support service users through programmes delivered in conjunction with families, staff and other key stakeholders. He/she will provide professional and clinical support to other frontline professions as appropriate and to develop new innovative responses on behalf of the Organisation to the needs of clients with acquired brain injury and their families in the general community. Essential: Have a university degree or diploma to a QQI level 8, recognised by the PSI, to a 1st or 2nd class honours standard Have a post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the PSI Demonstrate competence in working in the care group applied for Have at least 3 years relevant professional experience in the appropriate area of Psychology Driving licence - with access to own car - travel is required Possess a high standard of professional attainment Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the post It is desirable that the candidate has specific skills and experience in the assessment of and intervention with people with neurological and other physical diagnosis Desirable: Experience in provisions of support using a Positive Behaviour Support approach Have experience of working with individuals with neurological and other physical and neurorehabilitation needs An ability to manage workload, perform under pressure and achieve deadlines Benefits: Salary €55,709 - DOE - with annual increments Compeititve annual leave entitlements 2 Discretionary days annual leave (Good Friday & Christmas Eve) Access to contributory pension scheme following probation Free life cover benefit Paid maternity leave Long service awards Bike to work scheme Flexible working and work life balance initiatives in place Access to Health Care Staff Credit Union If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
