Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Purchase Analyst & Stock Controller for our client, one of the largest industrial MRO suppliers. The role will become hybrid after probation, including three days per week working in the office. You will manage the analysis of purchasing and take action from the insights generated to o drive operational efficiency. From the Stock controlling side, there are min/max levels to report on, automatic PO's to approve and check before being released to suppliers. This will involve liaising with the branch network/sales team to ensure reception of required stock. RESPONSIBILITIES Review of monthly spend per supplier/category Generate insights from the data and challenge buyers/suppliers as needed Core compliance reporting by branch Rebate accrual and spend review to maximise rebate earnings Liaise with suppliers on quotes and price differences Update ERP system with supplier price file Complete requisitions for the amount of stock required, maintaining quantities & stock at maximum agreed levels. Review stock levels to ensure no "stock outs" and advise manager of inappropriate holding levels Ensure policies and procedures are updated . Regular reporting - manage and analyse data efficiently, utilise spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables. Carry out other tasks in line with the company’s business procedures to maintain and exceed customer expectations. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail. Excel skills including Pivot Tables and looks ups an advantage Experience working with stock systems or ERP systems Prior experience of Purchase Analyst and/or Stock Control is an advantage Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organisation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
