Purchasing Manager | Dublin (Tier 1 Contractor)

         Outstanding opportunity for ambitious Purchasing Manager/Procurement Specialist to join international market leading Construction Company based in Leinster area leading on large projects.
         As Purchasing Manager / Procurement Specialist, build career by supporting Senior Management in delivery of 'leading edge' construction & engineering projects and project team from earliest stages of project. Procurement Specialist will assemble tender packages and evaluate submissions from commercial/technical/programme perspective through to procurement closure with view to generating greatest value for company. Work with vibrant, agile and multi-functional team in delivering projects to quality, on time and to budget.
        
         Responsibilities:
         Commercial Support: Provide commercial support to project teams on project commencement.
         Project Meetings: Attend project meetings and obtain required information and clarifications to close project procurement.
         Tender Packages: Assemble procurement packages for tender in conjunction with project team.
         Technical Submittals: Ensure technical submittals & approvals to facilitate project procurement are in place.
         Negotiation: Lead negotiation process, driving closure on package agreements to include T's & C's.
         Demand Planning: Liaise with the project teams to improve demand planning.
         Category Management: Assist and implement category management process improvements.
         Supplier Price Management: Drive improvements in supplier price management and performance.
         Lean Process Procurement: Assist in implementation of lean process procurement methods.
         Group Procurement Strategy: Assist in implementing group procurement strategy.
         QA Processes: Ensure all practices and documentation in place comply with QA processes.
        
         Requirements:
         Degree Qualification and 5+ Years' Experience working in Engineering, commercial development, civil, residential or refurb/fit out industries.
         Engineering Knowledge: Sound engineering knowledge and experience to enable effective appreciation of requirements and environment in which solution will be required to operate.
         Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills and ability to utilise the MS suite of products and display keen ability to utilise new software quickly.
         Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness.
         Constructive Questioning: Constructive questioning: good at identifying all necessary criteria.
         Effective Listening: Effective listener: good at listening to requirements or problems without bias.
         Team Player: Team Player: Ability to work in team environment.
         Problem Solving: Able to think beyond boundaries.
         Communication: Excellent communicator with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical disciplines, both internal and external.
