As a Python Developer, you will have the opportunity to be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, working on major green field components. With significant buy-in from senior business partners, this role will provide you with valuable experience in delivering directly to the business. **Key Responsibilities** • Produce consistent, consolidated risk reports spanning the whole markets business • Run high-performance ticking intraday risk for trading desks • Explain PNL across the global business • Work in Quartz, the bank's next-generation trading and risk platform • Develop high-performance components using C++ • Contribute to high-priority deliverables as part of a high-performance team **Requirements** • Strong programming skills in Python or equivalent/similar programming languages • Understanding of grid/distributed/parallel/high-performance computing concepts • Knowledge of FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) or Equities products in pricing, risk, and PNL domains • Experience in software development and testing, deployment, and support using agile development methodologies • Ability to function effectively as part of a high-performance team • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on adding value to the business • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders across technology and the business **About the Company** Our client is a leading investment bank with a strong presence in the financial industry.
