Temporary, Full or Part-Time · Remote - Ireland About the JobWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering flawless user experiences.Specifically, we see your time is spent:Test Planning and Strategy:Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and define test strategies.Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.Identify and prioritise test cases based on risk analysis and business impact, ensuring adequate test coverage for all product features.Test Execution and Automation:Execute manual and automated tests, following established testing processes and methodologies.Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to identify defects and verify software quality.Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks/tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.Defect Management and Reporting:Document and track defects using issue tracking systems, such as JIRA or Bugzilla, ensuring timely resolution and closure of reported issues.Investigate and analyse root causes of defects, working closely with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.Prepare and communicate test reports and defect metrics to stakeholders, providing insights into product quality and release readiness.Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to contribute feedback and drive process improvements.Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, enhance test automation coverage, and improve overall software quality.Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends, incorporating new tools and techniques as appropriate.What Will Pique Our Interest Is Someone That Might Have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software testing methodologies and tools.Previous experience working on data projects, including the creation and management of test data to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.Proficiency in writing test cases, test scripts, and test automation using programming languages such as Python or TypeScript.Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks/tools, such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
