Job Description
Hunter Philips is currently looking for an experienced QA/QC Technician to support the delivery of a utility-scale solar project in Ireland for a leading turnkey EPC contractor. You will have proven experience as a QA/QC Technician within either the renewable energy sector or utility-scale PV plants and, throughout this 12-month contract, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of solar energy systems. Principal accountabilities: 1. Inspect PV modules, inverters, trenches, structures, and other components to ensure adherence to quality standards. 2. Identify and document defects or inconsistencies, collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve issues. 3. Support the development and implementation of quality control processes tailored to PV plant operations. 4. Record inspections, tests, and quality activities to monitor performance and highlight areas for improvement. 5. Analyse data to find improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to boost system performance and reliability. 6. Train plant personnel on quality standards and procedures to ensure adherence and promote a quality-focused culture. 7. Compile and submit reports on quality control activities, findings, and any encountered issues. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, knowledge, and skills: * Demonstrated experience as a QA/QC Technician, ideally within the renewable energy or utility-scale PV sector. * In-depth knowledge of PV systems, quality control standards, and testing methodologies. * Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. * Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. * Certifications or qualifications in quality assurance, electrical engineering, or a related field are advantageous. * On-site availability required 5 days a week.
