QC Analyst

We are seeking an experienced QC Analyst to join our Scientific In-sourcing team, responsible for testing pharmaceutical substances in a GMP environment.

About the Role

  • Perform GC and HPLC analysis, along with other analytical techniques, in accordance with clients' procedures and quality systems.
  • Train other analysts and verify results generated by colleagues for compliance with requirements.
  • Manage laboratory equipment, inventory, and laboratory records to maintain a high standard of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded, and support the achievement of client and SGS Key Performance Indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive training from SGS and clients on relevant analytical techniques.
  • Carry out testing in accordance with valid testing procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is well-maintained and calibrations are carried out at designated frequencies.
  • Manage inventory and status of materials required for analysis.
  • Verify and review results generated by other analysts for compliance with requirements.

Requirements

  • Science Degree in Chemistry or equivalent (Level 7 minimum).
  • 2 years of experience in a GMP laboratory.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Aptitude in lab computer systems, including LIMS and Trackwise.
