**Job Summary:** QC Lab Microbiologist role at Fannin Limited, part of DCC Vital, involves supporting Quality Management and ISO certification through microbiological testing, documentation, and process implementation. **Job Description:** Fannin Limited, a leading provider of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic products, seeks a skilled QC Lab Microbiologist to join its team in Galway. As part of DCC Vital, a large Irish PLC, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform microbiological testing and reporting of results as per product specifications * Develop and implement QC procedures, processes, and systems * Assist with the development of in-house documents, such as Standard Operating Procedures and Validation Protocols * Maintain culture organisms from reputable sources and perform environmental monitoring * Conduct competency and EQA testing as required * Provide microbiological support to the site and participate in CAPAs * Support accreditation, regulatory, and customer inspections and audits * Adhere to safety requirements and accreditation standards under ISO17025 and ISO9001 **Requirements:** * Relevant third-level qualification * Knowledge and proficiency in microbiological techniques * Familiarity with ISO standards associated with laboratory activities * Experience in ISO 17025, ISO 15189, and ISO/TR 22869 desirable * Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills **Personal Characteristics:** * Pro-active and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment * Ability to adjust workload based upon changing priorities * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
