Job Description
QC Lab Microbiologist role involves supporting Quality Management and ISO 17025 certification at Fannin LIP Galway.
Fannin Limited is part of DCC Vital, providing medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic products to healthcare professionals and patients across the Island of Ireland and the UK. With a heritage of care dating back to 1829, Fannin has a track record in medical supplies and pharmaceutical distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tests and report results as per product specifications
- Support and develop QC procedures, processes, and systems
- Assist with in-house document development, such as Standard Operating Procedures and Validation Protocols
- Perform weekly testing of R.O. water used for manufacturing
- Carry out environmental monitoring for specified manufacturing areas and the QC laboratory
- Support consumables management and microbiological testing
- Participate in and lead QC-related CAPAs and support accreditation, regulatory, and customer inspections
Requirements:
- Relevant third-level qualification
- Knowledge and proficiency in microbiological techniques
- Knowledge of ISO standards associated with laboratory activities
- Desirable: experience in ISO 17025, ISO 15189, and ISO/TR 22869
