#IJ Quality Lead -Cork The Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all construction activities meet the required quality standards and specifications. The role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements. The Quality Lead will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across construction projects. Responsibilities: Develop and implement the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP) in line with project requirements. Establish quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, track metrics, and report on quality performance to senior management. Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, client specifications, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, API). Maintain thorough records of inspections, tests, certifications, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Manage quality documentation, including material certificates, inspection reports, and as-built drawings. Oversee daily inspections and testing of construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications. Coordinate third-party testing and inspections as required by the project. dentify and resolve quality issues through inspections, material reviews, and corrective actions. Investigate non-conformances, defects, and deviations from project specifications, and lead root-cause analysis. Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) are implemented to resolve quality issues in a timely manner. Track NCRs and prepare reports for project management and stakeholders. Conduct regular internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with quality management plans and standards. Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of construction processes. Review and update quality control documents and procedures as necessary. Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors, engineers, and coordinators. Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to construction teams on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with construction management, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure project goals are met. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum (5-7) years of experience in construction quality management or a related role. Proven track record of leading quality control initiatives in large-scale construction projects (e.g., infrastructure, commercial buildings, oil & gas, or industrial facilities). In-depth knowledge of construction standards and codes (e.g., ISO, ASTM, BS, ACI, etc.). Strong proficiency in quality management tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Six Sigma). Hands-on experience with inspection and testing techniques for materials such as concrete, steel, piping, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
