Job Description
Senior Financial Reporting Accountant position available in Limerick, Ireland, for a 6-month contract with possibility of extension or other opportunities within the team.
As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, identifying and implementing best practices, and working closely with the management team to drive client service culture and ensure quality service to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out financial reporting and prepare client reports
- Review and assist in the preparation of financial statements to ensure compliance with current accounting and regulatory requirements
- Drive a client service culture among staff and ensure all clients receive a quality service
- Work closely with audit firms and facilitate technical briefs and updates for the department
- Represent the Financial Reporting team at relevant meetings as required
- Identify training and development needs and establish performance standards for the department
- Assist team members in the resolution of non-routine and complex financial reporting issues
- Liaise with Compliance and other relevant internal stakeholders where required
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant
- Proven experience in the investment management industry
- Financial reporting experience
- Strong communication, first-class presentation, and internal and external client-servicing skills
- Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS experience
- Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Effective communicator, motivator, coach, and mentor
- IT proficient
