Job Description

Our client is an award winning, leading FMCG company based in North Dublin. They are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their Quality & Technical team. Reporting to the Quality Lead Technologist and the Head of Quality & Technical, the QA Technician will play a key role in the business. Package 20 days of annual leave per annum Access to Employee Assistance Programme for all employees and family of employees Bike to work scheme available Death in service benefit On-site parking Responsibilities Floor checks - print off quality check sheets needed and start product reports (taking applicable photos and measurements and checking product at all stages of the process as well as product labels using the master sheet to check off these). Mixing records dates, traceability, fats content etc. Production records weights, information, traceability etc. Packaging line labels (check against specification, check metal detection is completed, including start of shift checks) Complete case weights and paperwork, highlight anything out of specification and speak to the line supervisors to resolve. (10 every hour) Check intake and dispatch paperwork -ensure temperatures are completed in full, all relevant information is completed. Bring down any paperwork in the stores area. Check to see what products are being produced, do we need micro samples, shelf life samples, nutritional Responsible for carrying out daily GMP (raising new issues with staff regarding PPE, hygiene issues, maintenance issues, procedural issues etc) If there are any issues deal with these immediately if product needs to go on hold record on quality report and put on hold log Liaise with supervisors and managers to close off GMP issues Checking raw materials that may be delivered during your shift Carry out end of shift check to ensure shift is left in a clean and tidy manner. Complete end of shift reports and GMP and circulate to the management team, ensure there are no recurring issues and ensure corrective actions are effective Go through paperwork and file as need be and work on any projects or close off any issues that need closing off Carry out swab checks and visually check lines for cleaning to release back to production (bio-trace, allergen, environmental swabs) Send an end of shift email attaching GMP, reports, highlight any issues or at end of the week Requirements For The Role Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential Relevant education and/or an understanding of food safety in a manufacturing environment is desirable Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail IT literacy competence with Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook etc. Interested?
