Quality Designer Role Summary
We're seeking a Quality Designer to join our In-Game Experience (IGX) team working on the EA connect product, focusing on building long-term scalable solutions and improving QA efforts.
About the Role
The Quality Designer will work with senior development, production, and design teams to ensure high-quality features from both a functional and qualitative perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior teams to create high-quality features from both a functional and qualitative perspective.
- Build and implement the Test Strategy to ensure test coverage and find issues early in the development cycle.
- Report progress, current status, and risks to peers, managers, and partners through regular communication.
- Research, analyze, and compile data points into cohesive summaries demonstrating impact on overall quality.
- Mentor peers, assisting with and growing their knowledge.
Requirements
- Comfortable testing on multiple platforms, including Mobile, PC, Mac, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
- Working knowledge of end-to-end automation.
- Advanced ability to use industry-standard defect and task tracking tools, such as JIRA, QMetry, and TestRail, with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Understanding of game development, interdisciplinary dependencies, and associated development risks.
- Ability to manage risks, finding permanent solutions and averting them in the future.
- Skilled in research, analysis, and use of test data to highlight risks and impact.
