Lead Quality Engineer for a company in County Westmeath, responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met through quality assurance activities, best practice implementation, and process improvement.

In this role, you will lead and coordinate Quality Assurance activities to capture and implement customer-specific requirements into relevant business processes. You will provide leadership in best practice for Automotive and Medical Quality, and lead improvement projects to enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) and reduce customer issues.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO9000, ISO13485, and ISO14001 standards.
- Own the PPAP process and validation process.
- Support Customer and APQP processes.
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure effective capture and understanding of Customer Specific Requirements.
- Lead projects to implement Customer Specific Requirements in relevant business areas.
- Handle customer complaints through the 8D process.
- Provide leadership on best practice Quality and training to teams.
- Review and complete customer quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Lead improvement projects with cross-functional teams to continually enhance QMS.
Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Quality, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong team member with the ability to identify and drive quality improvement programs.
- Excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to liaise with suppliers and customers in an informed professional manner.
- At least 3-5 years' relevant Quality Engineering experience.
