Responsibilities - Monitor compliance to workmanship practices and procedures, providing coaching & training as required. Conduct defect awareness training with Associates. - Implement reduced final inspections in manufacturing cells without increased Customer Complaints (OOB). - Identify and champion introduction of technology maintaining minimum OOB - Monitor in process scrap, report regularly and work with Engineering to reduce. - Manage MRB and make decisions related to disposition of non-conforming product - Conduct/lead PFMEA, 5Why root cause analysis. - Use knowledge of Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality. - Drive an effective internal audit system and schedule. Coordinate agency audits and ensure internal practices deliver high levels of compliance to product approval agency requirements, and customer requirements - Maintain KPIs. - Lead investigation & corrective action of Internal & External complaints / product concerns (IQOS) - Maintain and ensure the Quality Manual & Quality Policies of GMIL are cascaded through operations and agree QMS best practices for the company. - Perform 1st article inspections on raw materials/components according to written procedures, specifications/drawings, and processes. - Participate directly in new product/technology transfer. - Continually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality. Qualifications - Minimum +3 years’ experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment - A Level 8 Degree or equivalent - Demonstrated use of decision making based on judgement and data - SAP user - Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision. - Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Use of problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why and PFMEA
