Job Description

Quality Engineer sought to support Quality Operations Manager in implementing Quality Management System and ensuring quality policies and procedures are adhered to.

The company offers a range of services including engineering, design-for-manufacture, mould-making, sampling & development, injection moulding, value-added contract manufacturing operations, multi-shot technologies, scalable automation, and turnkey manufacturing systems.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring production and release of finished parts, ensuring quality policies and procedures are adhered to, and investigating root cause of quality issues. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interfacing with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Investigating root cause of quality issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Initiating and completing CAPA actions, engineering change requests, and non-conformance reports
  • Establishing and monitoring inspection standards, plans, frequencies, and test methods
  • Preparing and updating quality system documentation
  • Supporting customer and surveillance accreditation audits
  • Developing strong links with customer organisations and other project stakeholders
  • Performing an active role in quality planning and new product introduction
  • Ensuring that production personnel are trained for their tasks and that procedures are in place
  • Understanding of customer documents, including drawings, purchase specifications, and quality agreements
  • Ensuring that on hold material is dispositioned and actioned in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that all retained samples are stored correctly
  • Ensuring that all quality records are completed as per MGS procedure
  • Adhering to incoming control requirements and supporting the SCAR process

The ideal candidate will have a relevant 3rd level qualification and/or equivalent quality experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. MGS is an equal opportunities employer.
