My client are a leading food production company based in Monaghan and are sourcing a Quality Manager to join their team. If you have a passion for maintaining top-notch food safety standards and a keen eye for detail, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the quality assurance team in a well-established and respected company. Key Responsibilities: Lead the quality assurance team to ensure all food products meet or exceed regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the companys quality management system (QMS). Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, BRC, and other standards) and manage internal and external audits. Develop, implement, and maintain food safety programs, conducting regular risk assessments and audits. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet the companys quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality control tests on incoming raw materials and final products. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Investigate and address any quality issues or customer complaints, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Lead, train, and develop the quality assurance team, ensuring they are up to date on best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular training sessions on quality and safety standards for all production staff. Maintain detailed records of quality control processes, audits, and certifications. Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement. Work closely with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure quality standards are upheld throughout the supply chain. Act as the point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring successful audit outcomes. Requirements: Proven experience in a quality management role within the food production industry. A degree in food science, quality management, or a related field, with strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety standards. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in developing and mentoring a quality team. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
