YOUR NEW COMPANY: Medium sized Co Cavan based food production company currently recruiting for a QA Manager. This is a very well-established company, in operation for 100 years with a strong and supportive culture designed to get the best out of their people in an environment that is very focused on teamwork. YOUR NEXT QUALITY MANAGER JOB Commutable from Cavan, Dublin, Mullingar & Meath as Quality Manager you'll be working closely with your colleagues in the lab and technical team. Your overall remit will see you manage and oversee operational standards, Health and Safety, Environmental and Hygiene on site. Reporting to the MD day to day some of the key elements in the Quality Manager role include: Manage hygiene operatives and hygiene on site Carry out regular site audits and carry out supplier audits on stores Work with the QA team - re customer audits Manage supplier approval To maintain and update the Quality Plan and HACCP plan Manage SOP and staff training in relevant areas Work closely with external environmental consultant and QA Team for site audits - DAFM, UFAS Work closely with external environmental consultant for ISO and EPA Work closely with QA team to write and manage the QMS Manage pest control - Ecolab (Incl contractor performance, monitoring, field biologist reports) Manage site biosecurity Co-ordinate with Managers site operational standards (Hygiene and H&S) Ensure the business always operates "Audit Ready" in areas of compliance for regulatory (e.g. DAFM, EPA, & HAS) and customer audits. WHATS IN IT FOR YOU: There is a competitive salary available of €40k-50k doe along with a company pension scheme which see the company contribute 4% of salary & life assurance with a salary review 3 months after you start. You will be joining a family-owned business in operation for over 100 years with very low staff turnover due to how well they treat and look after their people. After probation the company would potentially be open to a situation where you could WFH one day a week if requested.
