Quality Manager Job In Galway

Job Description

A new role created with a fast paced food manufacturers in Galway.

This role will support the Food Safety and Quality agenda for a number of product lines (meals and snacks) that are sold in the Irish retail space.

This individual will support across the manufacturing and distribution areas and will take the lead on site compliance to relevant food regulations.

This is a fully onsite role.

A bit more about the role:

• Implementation, and Management of Food Safety Management Systems
• Lead internal HACCP team and management of standards through internal auditing programme.
• Coordination with Regulatory Authorities and preparing the site for audits / inspections.
• Management of supplier and product approval protocol
• Definition and Management of finished product quality
• Conduct Audits of FSMS compliance and resolve issues with the team
• Ensure Food Safety training requirements are up to date.
• Satisfactory resolution of FSQ operational issues and Consumer Complaints
• Ensuring site hygiene, and pest control standards are maintained.
• Reporting on FSQ performance against targets.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Science/ Food Science Qualification Essential
• Min 35 years technical Quality experience
• HACCP/Food Safety Management systems knowledge.
• Experience in implementing and managing QMS
• Flexibility, quick learner, problem solver, good communication and good organisational skills.
• Full Driver's License and access to own car is required
• Approved to work in the EU (without time restrictions).
